$10K worth of jewelry stolen using distraction technique - pennlive.com

About $10,000 worth of jewelry was stolen by a group of people using a distraction technique at a Lancaster County antiques store.

The incident occurred on Tuesday at Burning Bridges Antiques on the 300 block of Walnut Street in Columbia, according to Columbia police.

At least four suspects were caught on security cameras, but not before they made off with the jewelry.

Police say one man with a beard, hat and plaid shirt was spotted on camera breaking the lock on a glass display case while the others positioned themselves around the store to alert him when someone approached.

Cameras also caught two vehicles used by the four suspects – a Toyota Sienna and a Chrysler Pacifica.

Anyone with information should call the Columbia police, 717-684-7735, or submit a tip through Crime Watch.
