A suspect is in custody after an early-morning jewelry heist at a Trussville store.
Trussville police responded about 3:30 a.m.Sunday to an alarm call at Zales in the 5000 block of Pinnacle Square. When officers arrived on the scene, they saw broken glass and a van leaving the area, according to Det. Ben Short.
Officers tried to stop the van but to no avail. A chase was then initiated.
